I woke up this morning “knowing”. I immediately felt a realized, warm hug deep within my heart—and I experienced the best Christmas gift I could ever imagine. I woke up “knowing” that my daughter was in the next room sleeping. Even though we were separated by a few walls, her presence swirled, flitted, and floated, and found its way to me. It settled into my heart. I knew she was close. I can’t explain in depth this understanding of “knowing” that I felt, but as I laid in bed, this gift was the most perfect discovery of pure love that I could ever imagine…and so very peaceful. It was not found in a wrapped box with a sparkly bow. It was Christmas magic.
I also understood how powerful “knowing” truly is, and how it is synonymous with the word, peace. When you think about day to day life, “knowing” you can depend on someone, “knowing” you can trust someone, “knowing” someone has your back, all these bring you peace. –And on this Christmas Day, and during this holiday season, when we are missing
those who have moved on from this worldly space, it offers great peace to know, if you believe this as I do, — that you “know” you will see them again.
MeRrY ChRiStMaS, and HaPpY HaPpY HoLidAyS to all, and may you, sometime, experience the gift of “knowing”.
