CuPcaKe LiNer BucKet LiSt?

cupcakelinerIn this life-world we travel, sometimes it’s difficult to go back and remember what we did the past weekend. Mainly because we stepped off that day-to-day familiar work-week wheel. But on our journey, particular events sometimes make us pause and think twice about our life.

—Maybe your last child is graduating, maybe someone you loved just passed on to the greater unknown or known. Those turns, whether consciously, or subconsciously, cause us to think about “things”.

So are you checking off your to-dos on your bucket list? Do you have a bucket list? I’m not even sure how I feel about this sort of list. I guess it’s a way to keep in check what’s valuable to you with your minutes of time. However, I’m a spontaneous sort, so I have never done one–my lists are forever influx. And how many things do you put on a bucket list? The buckets I’ve seen are on the large side.

Maybe that’s why I have never put one in writing and continue to side step a list. It’s a little overwhelming to fill that bucket and then to actually do it. Even typing this makes me sort of uptight.

Also, how many items define a bucket list? Should it be overflowing, maybe seventeen items, or just a tiny 4 word drop in the bucket?

What about a teacup list? —That seems more manageable, and you would narrow your list to the chief stuff. Brilliant!

Then again, why does it have to be a container that holds things? Does a bucket list fall in the same category as a dream catcher? Does the bucket catch your dream list?

A cupcake liner! How about we put them in a cupcake liner—a cupcake liner list?

A cupcake liner is the festive outfit the cupcake wears to a celebration. They are colorful and have a cool pattern, or a holiday design on them and they are happy. Your lists, of course, are happy lists. You aren’t going to write sad or scary lists. So happy goes in happy.

You know, maybe I’m becoming a little more involved with the container itself than the list, but a cupcake liner would be perfect. Done–-and it’s teacup size.

All right, you’re up! Write out two, or be extravagant, and push three things you want to do next month, within the year, or during your well-lit life. These intentions have been hanging out in the back of your mind for some time—collecting inside-the-head dust.

Get them out –off the back of your mind. Put them in the happy cupcake liner you settle on. You be your own fairy angel and make them come true. –-That’s your part. I pinky swear Jules will do it too.

Spend your minutes well.

–Check in with me…we pinky swore.
